Behnaz Sarrami, MS, PharmD is a host on PGX for Pharmacists. Behnaz is a Pharmacogenomics (PGx) coach and consultant | Medical writer.
Behnaz is the host to the PGx for Pharmacist Podcast. She is an expert in the field of PGx, Chronic Care Management (CCM) and mentor to pharmacist who are establishing their own consulting business. She believes in personalizing a patient’s medication based on each individual’s genetic makeup and is keen in helping overcome barriers for both pharmacist and providers who want to implement PGx in any clinical setting.
She received her Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Georgetown University and her Doctorate in Pharmacy from Creighton University. Behnaz has been a contributor of Washington University’s Public Health blog and content development on GoodRx around the topic of PGx.
She is a big believer in giving back to her community, especially the underserved population. Staying true to her passion, Behnaz serves as a consultant for a grant-funded research project which aims to increase medication adherence in older adults and volunteers as a clinical pharmacist at Volunteers In Medicine.
