Derek Delaney CFP®, ChFC®, EA, CSLP, is the host of the PharmD Money podcast. Money is a complicated and never-ending source of frustration for many PharmDs. But it doesn’t’ have to be that way. Education and actionable advice are the foundation of true financial wellbeing. That is what the PharmD Money podcast has set out to deliver.

Derek is also the founder and president of PharmD Financial Planning LLC, a financial planning firm that specializes in working with pharmacists and their families all over the United States. Delaney believes that REAL financial planning, when done correctly, can make a tremendous positive impact in people’s lives.

Derek is married to his better half, Kortney Delaney. Kortney is a PharmD and a 2013 graduate of the South Dakota State University College of Pharmacy. Together they have 2 children. Ben (4) and Hannah (1). Derek graduated from North Dakota State University in 2011 with a B.S. in finance and a minor in accounting.

“My mission from day 1 has always been to help turn pharmacists into the most financial savvy type of doctor there are”, says Delaney. The primary avenue to achieving that goal is by sharing his knowledge and expertise through the PharmD Money podcast.
