American Pharmacists Association and Pharmacy Podcast Network Announce Exclusive Collaboration Agreement

September 30, 2020by Todd Eury

WASHINGTON, DC – The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and the Pharmacy Podcast Network (PPN) today announced that they have entered into agreement where PPN will be the exclusive distributor of “Locked on Pharmacy,” APhA’s podcast series on pharmacy topics. Under the agreement, APhA will produce at least one podcast per month, while PPN will distribute the podcast on its podcast feeds and support the podcast with marketing and promotion. The first episode is scheduled to be published on October 1.

PPN is one of the leading podcast streams in the country. With podcasts covering career development, public policy and community pharmacy, the network has over 30 different channels with nearly 80,000 listeners accumulated over the last 10 years. Under its founder, Todd Eury, PPN has grown to be one of top 20 podcasts in the Business News category listed with Apple Podcasts.

“Todd Eury is a true advocate for pharmacists,” said Frank Fortin, Senior Vice President for Communications, Marketing and Media Relations for APhA. “We’re excited to see where this partnership takes us.”

“APhA has recognized the need to deliver audio content to pharmacists that’s meaningful and helpful to their careers and supporting them as patient care providers,” said Eury. “A partnership with the APhA will help the Pharmacy Podcast Network reach more pharmacists and build new collaborations with other podcasting pharmacists. Strengthening our listener base with this key partnership will prepare the publication to build more collaborative care episodes with physicians and other healthcare providers, and the pharmacist’s voice will be leading the conversations.”
