AXS to Specialty Pharmacy 2023 

The ‘Super Bowl Event’ of Specialty Pharmacy took place in Las Vegas April 30th -May 4th. The 19th Asembia Specialty Pharmacy Summit, is a segment of pharmacy that is getting bigger every year and more specialized with specialties within specialty pharmacy.

Adam Fein, Ph.D., said, “When we think about specialty, it’s not just one thing anymore. It’s highly personalized medicines. It’s cell and gene therapy. It’s traditional specialty drugs. It’s so-called specialty like products. There’s a whole range of products we can think about as what makes us specialty pharmacy.”

The Asembia Management team reported that there were more than 7,000 people in attendance. The meeting included more than 25 continuing education sessions on clinical topics, 40+ business sessions, and a general session that featured Dr. Fein’s interview with Seema Verma, M.P.H., the administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) during the Trump administration.
