Pharmacy Times, an industry-leading monthly journal providing practical information to pharmacists, today announced a strategic collaboration with the Pharmacy Podcast Show, an audio blog for pharmacy owners and management teams, to strengthen dialogue and spur innovation around key topics about the pharmacy profession, health care and pharmacy business. Pharmacy Podcast creator and host Todd S. Eury will work with Pharmacy Times to create future content and episodes of the podcast that will be integrated into the blog section of the Pharmacy Times website.
Pharmacy Times is sponsoring the podcast’s 200th episode, which launches online today. In this episode, Fred Eckel, RPh, MS, Editor in Chief of Pharmacy Times, and Tighe Blazier, president of Michael J. Hennessy Associates, Inc, discuss trends in the pharmacy industry. “We are honored to welcome Todd Eury and Pharmacy Podcast to the Pharmacy Times family,” said Ashley Hennessy Talamo, publisher of Pharmacy Times. “He has a widely-respected voice and industry perspective that will be an asset to our readers.”
Eury interviews experts and shares perspectives on pharmacy technology, policy, business practices, marketing, and other related pharmacy business topics in episodes of Pharmacy Podcast. Since its inception in 2009, the audio blog has built an audience of more than 40,000 subscribers and listeners across more than 40 countries.
The existing blog content on the Pharmacy Times website is a blend of discussion, opinion and advice addressing pharmacy trends and challenges as well as broader relevant topics in health care. Integration of the Pharmacy Podcast audio blog is intended to bring pharmacy content to the next level in a “Read – Look – Listen” model serving each partner’s pharmacy audiences.
“I’m excited to join the conversations that are already underway on the Pharmacy Times blog. We’re taking two great pharmacy industry resources and integrating them in a way that opens the door for two-way communication amongst readers, listeners and content creators,” said Eury, a serial entrepreneur who has dedicated his initiatives to the business of pharmacy.
